Though there is quite a variance in how extreme families exercise restricting romantic involvement of their young adult children, I believe the philosophy is sound. You might want to read or listen to Jonathan Lindvall at <a href="http://boldchristianliving.com/articles/youthful-romance/youthful-romance-scriptural-patterns.html" rel="nofollow">boldchristianliving.com</a>.
