Independence Day
Saturday, July 4, 2009
Independence Day, July 4th 1776 began a long road to freedom from tyranny and oppression, by a government that sought not to uplift it's people but by one that only sought power and wealth. On this 4th of July remember that people all around the world still long for a 10th of the freedom we have, they long for the freedom of assembly, which means being able to meet and exchange ideas freely without thought of imprisonment. The right to bear arms, which means the right to protect yourself not only against lawbreakers but against tyrannical governments. The right to free speech, which means the right to say what you will though some one may feel it is improper or "hateful". Please remember those who wish for and who fought for our freedom.
